There is a great shot in Ferngully where Krysta is rockn out to the music, and her whole body gets into it - and her head twists and counters what her torso is doing.
The fairy's dancing is much more full-body - But the pattern that forms a complimentary S-shape in spine could be helpful to your dancing guy.
I notice also on the very last hop, the root...holds in mid arc - you might take a look in the Graph Editor and make sure the spline doesn't get bumpy there.
