It was a big advantage to me to take this class along with animating on The JRG collaborative. It's difficult to assess this class because of the circumstances with the project we worked on; it was the first time I took an animation class that did that. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to teaching methods, whether it be through critique, demonstrations, or lecture. I would have liked to have a period of time where David goes around the class and does some one on one for a few minutes, but I completely understand that dailies for JRG had to be top priority.
David did a fantastic job managing the class under the chaos of having an outside project and I do feel that my improvement as an animator has accelerated by taking this class.
I liked this class a lot. I liked working on the JRG project. The only thing I would change is that I wish I would have known that we were going to have an extra assignment because I would have hurried up on first assignment so I would have had more time to spilt between the last two. I also wish that at the beginning of the semester that my work would have been viewed every class. I guess that has to do with class size though. Overall I think this was a great class and I really enjoyed having you as a teacher.
